PRUESSNER SCHOLARSHIP
We are now accepting applications for the Pruessner Scholarships. Please share this information with third year medical students. In 1995, the Harris County Academy of Family Physicians, established a scholarship in honor of Harold T. Pruessner, M.D. One $5,000 scholarship is awarded to a Houston area medical student pursuing a career in family medicine.

Remembering Mr. Leon R. Rochen
The Academy has established the Leon Rochen Scholarship Fund to honor the service and dedication to the our family physician community by Mr. Leon Rochen. Contributions are welcome.
Mr. Rochen served as the Academy’s executive vice president for 31 years before retiring in May 2024. He was a true advocate for family physicians and cared for everyone he encountered . Mr. Rochen passed away in November 2024.
